Methodology regarding the recognition of teaching positions in university education obtained in accredited university education institutions abroad*

This methodology establishes the manner in which the automatic recognition is carried out, within the Romanian-German University of Sibiu, of teaching positions obtained in accredited higher education institutions abroad. The provisions of this methodology apply to Romanian citizens, citizens of member states of the European Union, the European Economic Area, the Swiss Confederation, and citizens of third countries, who have obtained teaching positions in accredited higher education institutions in member states of the European Union, the European Economic Area, the Swiss Confederation, and in prestigious universities from other states included in the "List of prestigious universities from other states," approved by OMECTS no. 5825/2016 and periodically updated.

The teaching profession is found at position no. A.8 in Annex no. 2 of Law no. 200 of 2004 regarding the recognition of diplomas and professional qualifications for regulated professions in Romania, with subsequent amendments and completions.*

The decision of recognition or non-recognition may be appealed by submitting a contestation to the university registry within 10 days of receiving it. Subsequently, the university's final decision may be appealed to the competent court in the municipality of Sibiu.
