Procedure regarding the recognition at Transilvania University of Brașov of teaching positions in higher education obtained in accredited higher education institutions abroad*

The procedure establishes the manner in which the automatic recognition is carried out, by the Transilvania University of Brașov, of the teaching positions obtained in accredited higher education institutions abroad by persons applying for a teaching position within the university.

Transilvania University of Brașov recognizes teaching positions from higher education obtained at:

a) accredited higher education or research and development institutions in a member state of the European Union, the European Economic Area, and the Swiss Confederation;

b) accredited higher education or research and development institutions included in the List of prestigious universities from other countries, approved/updated by order of the relevant minister;

c) accredited higher education or research and development institutions that are subject to an international mutual recognition agreement, concluded at intergovernmental or inter-university level.

The recognition of teaching positions obtained abroad according to the Methodology regarding the recognition at Transilvania University of Brașov of the teaching positions from higher education obtained in accredited higher education institutions abroad, is valid and produces legal effects only at the level of Transilvania University of Brașov.

The application must obligatorily mention all the contact details (correspondence) of the applicant, in order to ensure communication throughout the recognition process, the applicant assuming responsibility for the accuracy of the declared data. Failure to resolve the application cannot be attributed to the university if the applicant does not follow the received correspondence or does not respond in due time to requests regarding the recognition file.*

In copy, if the diploma is obtained in Romania or from an accredited higher education institution in the member states of the European Union, the European Economic Area, the Swiss Confederation, or from a university included in the List of prestigious universities from other countries, approved by order of the Minister of Education. If the diploma is obtained from other accredited higher education institutions abroad than those mentioned above, the Doctorate Diploma must be accompanied by the recognition certificate issued by CNRED, in copy, if the diploma is issued in Romanian, English, French, Spanish, Italian and an authorized translation for other languages. If the doctoral field is not stated on the Doctorate Diploma, it must be accompanied by a document issued by the institution that awarded the diploma, containing the name of the doctoral university study field in which the applicant obtained the diploma and the title of doctor, in copy for documents in Romanian, English, French, Spanish, Italian and an authorized translation for other languages.*

This document is issued by the institution that granted the teaching position: a) accredited higher education or research and development institutions from a member state of the European Union, the European Economic Area, and the Swiss Confederation; b) accredited higher education or research and development institutions included in the List of prestigious universities from other countries, approved/updated by order of the relevant minister; c) accredited higher education or research and development institutions that are subject to an international mutual recognition agreement, concluded at intergovernmental or inter-university level.*

In the case of a decision not to recognize the teaching position obtained abroad, the applicant shall also be informed of the reasoned decision of the evaluation committee, and he/she may file an appeal within 30 days from the date of confirmation by mail of the receipt of the decision, by a reasoned request to be submitted to the University registry, or sent by mail, or sent electronically (by e-mail to the address mentioned in this procedure, or in the electronic platform in which the application was registered – as the case may be).

The appeal submitted by the applicant shall be analyzed and resolved by the University's Administrative Council (CA), within a maximum of 30 days. The CA's decision on the appeal is irrevocable at the level of Transilvania University of Brașov and is communicated to the applicant by mail to the correspondence address indicated.
