Children who turn 6 years old by August 31, 2019, inclusive, must be enrolled in the preparatory class, in accordance with the provisions of the National Education Law no. 1/2011. Lists with school districts must be displayed at the headquarters of the county school inspectorates and on the notice boards or on the websites (if they exist) of educational institutions, and parents must be informed about the content of the educational activities carried out in the preparatory class, about the teaching approach, about the organization of the school program, etc. Children who turn 6 years old between September 1 and December 31, 2019, inclusive, can be enrolled if their psychomotor development is appropriate. All educational institutions have the obligation to provide information regarding the procedure for enrolling children in primary education, regardless of whether the parents belong to the respective school district or not.
