Regarding the Current Professional Certificate, we would like to make the following clarifications:

In accordance with the provisions of the Pharmacy Law no. 266/2008 in the consolidated form as published in the Official Gazette no. 448/30.06.2009 part I, as well as the Implementation Norms published in the Official Gazette no. 538/03.07.2009 part I, pharmacists who will hold the position of chief pharmacist in a pharmaceutical unit (in the case of establishing new pharmaceutical units, as well as changes of the chief pharmacist - for those who will take over the position), will address the county colleges in order to obtain the Current Professional Certificate.

Also, this document is necessary for pharmacists who wish to practice their profession outside the country's borders.
The methodology for the preparation and issuance of the Current Professional Certificate was established by the Decision of the National Council of C.F.R. no. 1/2007, decision published in the Official Gazette of Romania Part I no. 324 of 15.05.2007.

Below we present the main provisions of Decision no. 1/2007, as follows:
- The Current Professional Certificate will be prepared by the College of Pharmacists of Romania and issued by the territorial college where the applicant is registered;
- The validity of the Current Professional Certificate is 3 months from the date of issue;
- Within a maximum of three days from receiving the request for the issuance of the Current Professional Certificate, the territorial college will send to the College of Pharmacists of Romania the standard request form for preparing and issuing the document;
- Within a maximum of 30 days from receiving the request, C.F.R. will prepare the certificate and will send it to the territorial college;
- The Current Professional Certificate will be issued by the College of Pharmacists of Romania which will prepare it and send it to the territorial college;
- The territorial college will prepare a Register of records – with identification data of the Current Professional Certificates issued to pharmacists in the respective county – and will hand them over to applicants with signature for receipt.

The fee for the issuance of the Current Professional Certificate, in the amount of 100 lei, will be paid into the account of the territorial College, respectively the Prahova College of Pharmacists RO91BREL0002001133430100, Libra Bank.

To obtain the Current Professional Certificate, the pharmacist will submit a file to the territorial college, which will include the documents attached below.
