Product Contact Point-PCP

The Product Contact Point (PCP) aims to ensure the free movement of goods by applying the procedures provided for in Regulation (EU) No 182/2011. 2019/515 on the mutual recognition of goods lawfully marketed in another Member State.
The CFP provides information free of charge to economic operators on national rules applicable to products that fall within the scope of non-harmonized legislation at EU level and that are subject to the principle of mutual recognition.
The CFP also facilitates communication between national authorities and economic operators on specific product rules and how the principle of mutual recognition is applied in Romania.
Within the Ministry of Economy, Energy and Business Environment - Internal Market Directorate, the Product Information Point operates at national level.
