Consent declaration regarding the processing of personal data*

Criminal record from abroad in original and with translation into Romanian, legalized, if applicable. In the case of documents issued by countries that are signatories to the Hague Convention, it is mandatory to apply the apostille, under the conditions of the law.*

Civil status documents (birth, marriage, death, or divorce certificates, extracts from the Civil Status Register, in original and/or court decision for administrative reconstitution of civil status documents) in original and notarized copies for the holder and ascendants (parents, grandparents, great-grandparents), former Romanian citizens, and with legalized translation into Romanian, if applicable. For documents issued by countries signatory to the Hague Convention, application of the apostille is mandatory, under the law.*

Declaration on own responsibility, authenticated by a notary or by the Romanian diplomatic mission, stating whether the applicant wishes to acquire Romanian citizenship while maintaining residence abroad or establishing residence in Romania. In the case of documents issued by the countries that are signatories to the Hague Convention, it is mandatory to apply the apostille, in accordance with the law;*

Declaration on one's own responsibility, authenticated by a notary or by the Romanian diplomatic mission, indicating whether another application for acquiring Romanian citizenship has been submitted or not. If the applicant has previously submitted an application for reacquiring Romanian citizenship, a new application may be registered only after presenting and submitting proof of the termination of the effects of the order, issued by the competent diplomatic mission. In the case of documents issued by the countries that are signatories of the Hague Convention, it is mandatory to apply the apostille, according to the law.*

Civil status documents in original and notarized copies for the minor children of the applicants, and with a legalized Romanian translation, if applicable*

Parental consent for acquiring Romanian citizenship by minor children, given through a notarized declaration. For documents issued by the countries that have signed the Hague Convention, the application of the apostille is mandatory, in accordance with the law. Consent of minors over 14 years of age for acquiring Romanian citizenship given by a notarized declaration at the notary in the presence of a parent*

The document proving payment for the citizenship card, both for the holder and for minor children included in the application, as applicable.
