Procedure for obtaining the CITES Permit – import/export/re-export*
Natural persons or legal entities who intend to carry out import, export, or re-export activities with individuals belonging to species of wild flora and fauna listed in the annexes to Regulation (EC) No. 338/97, as subsequently amended and supplemented, concerning the protection of wild fauna and flora species by regulating trade in them, hereinafter referred to as applicants, are required to request from the central public environmental authority the issuance of an import/export permit or a re-export certificate, or the certificate required for the movement of live specimens of animal species included in Annex A to Regulation (EC) No. 338/97, as subsequently amended, or for exceptions to the prohibition of commercial activities in accordance with Article 8 of the same regulation, by completing the forms established by European Community legislation regarding the protection of endangered species.

Procedure for obtaining the CITES Permit – movement within the EU*
CITES Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora.Natural or legal persons who intend to carry out activities with individuals belonging to species of wild flora and fauna listed in the annexes to Regulation (EC) No 338/97, as amended and supplemented, concerning the protection of wild flora and fauna species by regulating the trade in them, hereinafter referred to as applicants, are obliged to request from the central public authority for environmental protection the issuance of the certificate necessary for the movement of live specimens of animal species included in Annex A to Regulation (EC) No 338/97, as subsequently amended, or for exemptions from the prohibition of commercial activities under Article 8 of the same Regulation, by completing the forms established by European Community legislation regarding the protection of endangered species.
