Resumption of membership status is done based on a request that the applicant, pharmacist, submits to the headquarters of the territorial College, respectively the headquarters of the Bucharest College of Pharmacists, by which they request the resumption of membership status starting from a certain date.

In support of the request, the documents listed below are attached.

Regarding the Current Professional Certificate, we would like to make the following clarifications:

In accordance with the provisions of the Pharmacy Law no. 266/2008 in the ever-consolidated form as published in the Official Gazette no. 448/30.06.2009 part I, as well as the Application Norms published in the Official Gazette no. 538/03.07.2009 part I, pharmacists who will hold the position of chief pharmacist in a pharmaceutical unit (in the case of the establishment of new pharmaceutical units, as well as changes of the chief pharmacist—for those who will take over the position), must apply to the county colleges to obtain the Current Professional Certificate.

Also, this document is necessary for pharmacists who wish to practice their profession outside the country’s borders.

The methodology for drafting and issuing the Current Professional Certificate has been established through Decision of the National Council of C.F.R. no. 1/2007, decision published in the Official Gazette of Romania Part I no. 324 of 15.05.2007.

Below we present the main provisions of Decision no. 1/2007, as follows:
- The Current Professional Certificate will be drafted by the College of Pharmacists of Romania and issued by the territorial college to which the applicant is registered;
- The validity of the Current Professional Certificate is 3 (three) months from the date of issuance;
- Within a maximum of three days from receiving the request for issuing the Current Professional Certificate, the territorial college will send the standard request to the College of Pharmacists of Romania for the drafting and issuance of the document;
- Within a maximum of 30 days from receiving the request, the C.F.R. will draft the certificate and send it to the territorial college;
- The Current Professional Certificate will be issued by the College of Pharmacists of Romania who will prepare it and send it to the territorial college;
- The territorial college will prepare a Registry—with the identification data of the Current Professional Certificates issued to the pharmacists in that county—and will hand them over to the applicants with a signature upon receipt.

To obtain the Current Professional Certificate, the pharmacist will submit the request below and pay the fee of 100 lei to the account of the Mures College of Pharmacists: RO73BTRL02701205106420XX opened at Banca Transilvania Tg. Mureș.

Suspension of membership status occurs when the applicant, pharmacist, for certain reasons, wishes to interrupt their activity for a certain period and submits to the territorial College headquarters, namely the Bucharest College of Pharmacists, a request in which they ask for the suspension of membership status. At the time they request this suspension, the pharmacist must have paid the membership fee until the end of the year and must fulfill the condition of continuous professional training with a total of 40 EFC hours for the respective period.

The pharmacist undertakes, within 30 days from resuming activity, to inform the College of Pharmacists of Romania.

The transfer note is issued by the college where the pharmacist is registered, based on a request. Before the transfer note is issued, the requesting pharmacist is obliged to pay all dues owed to the college from which they wish to leave. The transfer note will be handed over, under signature, to the applicant. The registry of pharmacists (https://portal.tm-c.eu/LstFarma/ColegFarm) will indicate the college to which the pharmacist has transferred. If, at the college from which the pharmacist is transferring, a complaint has been filed against them or a disciplinary investigation has been initiated, the complaint or disciplinary file will be sent to the college to which the pharmacist is transferring.
