Resumption of membership status in the College of Pharmacists of Romania*
The reinstatement of membership is done based on an application, which the applicant, the pharmacist, submits to the headquarters of the Territorial College, namely the Bucharest College of Pharmacists, through which they request the reinstatement of membership starting from a specific date.

Request for the current professional certificate*
Regarding the Current Professional Certificate, we would like to make the following clarifications:
According to the provisions of the Pharmacy Law no. 266/2008 in its consolidated form as published in the Official Gazette no. 448/30.06.2009, Part I, as well as the Implementation Norms published in the Official Gazette no. 538/03.07.2009, Part I, pharmacists who will hold the position of chief pharmacist in a pharmaceutical unit (in cases of establishing new pharmaceutical units, as well as changes of chief pharmacist – for those who will take over the chief position), will address the county colleges for obtaining the Current Professional Certificate.
Also, this document is required for pharmacists who wish to practice their profession outside the country’s borders.
The methodology for preparing and issuing the Current Professional Certificate was established by Decision of the National Council of the Romanian College of Pharmacists no. 1/2007, decision published in the Official Gazette of Romania Part I no. 324 of 15.05.2007.
We present below the main provisions of Decision no. 1/2007, as follows:
- The Current Professional Certificate will be prepared by the College of Pharmacists of Romania and issued by the territorial college where the applicant is registered;
- The validity of the Current Professional Certificate is 3 months from the date of issuance;
- Within a maximum of three days from receiving the request for issuing the Current Professional Certificate, the territorial college will send the standard application form to the College of Pharmacists of Romania for the preparation and issuance of the document;
- Within a maximum of 30 days from receiving the application, the College of Pharmacists of Romania will issue the certificate and send it to the territorial college;
- The Current Professional Certificate will be issued by the College of Pharmacists of Romania, which will prepare it and send it to the territorial college;
- The territorial college will maintain a Register – with identification data of the Current Professional Certificates issued to pharmacists in the respective county – and will hand them over to the applicants with a receipt signature.
The issuing fee for the Current Professional Certificate, in the amount of 100 lei, will be paid into the territorial college account RO07 BACX 0000 0030 2672 0000.
In order to obtain the Current Professional Certificate, the pharmacist will submit to the territorial college a file containing the documents attached below.

Issuing a duplicate member certificate*
In order to proceed with the issuance of a duplicate of the Membership Certificate of the College of Pharmacists of Romania, the applicant must submit to the headquarters of the College of Pharmacists Bucharest the complete documentation, according to the provisions of Decision no. 4/2004 of the National Council of the College of Pharmacists of Romania, the documents presented below.

Pharmacist transfer*
The transfer note is issued by the college where the pharmacist is registered, based on a request. Before issuing the transfer note, the requesting pharmacist is required to pay up to date the membership fee owed to the college from which they wish to leave. The transfer note will be handed over, with signature, to the applicant. In the register of pharmacists (https://portal.tm-c.eu/LstFarma/ColegFarm), the college to which the pharmacist has transferred will be mentioned. If, at the level of the college from which the pharmacist is transferring, a complaint has been registered against him/her or a disciplinary investigation has been initiated, the complaint or the disciplinary file will be forwarded to the college to which the pharmacist is transferring.

Registration in the College of Pharmacists of Romania*
The membership certificate is granted to pharmacists who, by making an express request in this regard, meet the following conditions: hold an official qualification title in pharmacy, are not in any of the cases of unworthiness or incompatibility provided by law, are medically fit to practice the profession of pharmacist, have not interrupted the practice of the profession for more than 5 years or have obtained the bachelor's degree in the last 5 years, have paid the registration fee (the fee is paid into the account of the territorial college in the amount of 208 lei for persons who have registered within 1 YEAR of graduation and 235 lei for the rest of the persons).

Suspension of membership status in the College of Pharmacists of Romania*
Membership suspension occurs when the applicant, the pharmacist, for certain reasons wishes to interrupt their activity for a certain period of time and submits to the headquarters of the territorial College, namely the Bucharest College of Pharmacists, a request for the suspension of membership. When requesting this suspension, the pharmacist must have paid the membership fee up to the end of the year and must meet the requirement for continuous professional development with a total of 40 EFC hours for the respective period.
In support of the request, the documents listed below are attached.
The pharmacist is obliged, within 30 days from the resumption of activity, to inform the College of Pharmacists of Romania.
