Bistrita Nasaud College of Pharmacists*

To proceed with the issuance of a duplicate Member Certificate of the College of Pharmacists of Romania, the applicant must submit the complete documentation at the headquarters of the College of Pharmacists Bucharest, in accordance with the provisions of Decision no. 4/2004 of the National Council of the College of Pharmacists of Romania.

The resumption of membership is done based on a request, which the applicant, the pharmacist, submits to the headquarters of the Territorial College, respectively the College of Pharmacists of Bucharest, requesting the resumption of membership starting from a specific date.

The transfer note is issued by the college where the pharmacist is registered, based on a request. Before issuing the transfer note, the requesting pharmacist is required to pay up to date the membership fee owed to the college from which they wish to leave. The transfer note will be handed, with signature, to the applicant. In the register of evidence of pharmacists (https://portal.tm-c.eu/LstFarma/ColegFarm), the college to which the pharmacist has been transferred will be mentioned. If, at the level of the college from which the pharmacist is transferring, a complaint has been recorded against them or a disciplinary investigation has been initiated, the complaint or the disciplinary file will be forwarded to the college to which the pharmacist is transferring.

The membership certificate is awarded to pharmacists who, by making an express request in this regard, meet the following conditions: hold an official qualification in pharmacy, are not found in any cases of disqualification or incompatibility provided by law, are medically fit to practice the profession of pharmacist, have not interrupted the practice of the profession for more than 5 years or have obtained their bachelor's degree within the last 5 years, have paid the registration fee (the fee is paid into the account of the territorial college RO68BTRL00301205252035XX in the amount of 208 lei for persons who registered within 1 YEAR of graduation and 235 lei for other persons).

Regarding the Current Professional Certificate, we would like to make the following clarifications:

According to the provisions of the Pharmacy Law no. 266/2008 in its consolidated form as published in the Official Gazette no. 448/30.06.2009 Part I, as well as the Implementation Norms published in the Official Gazette no. 538/03.07.2009 Part I, pharmacists who will hold the position of head pharmacist in a pharmaceutical unit (in cases of establishing new pharmaceutical units, as well as changes of head pharmacist - for those who will take over the position), shall apply to the county colleges for obtaining the Current Professional Certificate.

This document is also necessary for pharmacists who wish to practice their profession outside the country.

The methodology for drafting and issuing the Current Professional Certificate was established by Decision of the National Council of the C.F.R. no. 1/2007, decision published in the Official Gazette of Romania Part I no. 324 of 15.05.2007.

We present below the main provisions of Decision no. 1/2007, as follows:

- The Current Professional Certificate will be drafted by the College of Pharmacists of Romania and issued by the territorial college where the applicant is registered;

- The validity of the Current Professional Certificate is 3 months from the date of issuance;

- Within a maximum of three days from receipt of the request for issuing the Current Professional Certificate, the territorial college will send the standard application to the College of Pharmacists of Romania for drafting and issuing the document;

- Within a maximum of 30 days from receipt of the application, C.F.R. will draft the certificate and send it to the territorial college;

- The Current Professional Certificate will be issued by the College of Pharmacists of Romania, which will prepare it and send it to the territorial college;

- The territorial college will prepare a Record Register - with the identification data of the Current Professional Certificates issued to pharmacists in the respective county - and will hand them over to the applicants upon signing a receipt.

The fee for issuing the Current Professional Certificate, in the amount of 100 lei, will be paid into the account of the territorial college ACCOUNT RO68BTRL00601205252035XX.

To obtain the Current Professional Certificate, the pharmacist will submit to the territorial college a file that will include the documents attached below.

Suspension of membership occurs when the applicant, the pharmacist, for certain reasons wishes to interrupt their activity for a certain period of time and submits to the Territorial College headquarters a request through which they ask for the suspension of membership. At the time of requesting this suspension, the pharmacist must have paid the membership fee until the end of the year and must meet the continuing professional education requirement by having 40 EFC hours for the respective period.

The pharmacist undertakes to inform the College of Pharmacists of Romania within 30 days from the resumption of activity.
