Social benefits remaining unclaimed by the deceased person with disabilities, representing the indemnity and/or the complementary personal budget for the month in which death occurred, and, where applicable, the social benefits due and unpaid until the time of death, shall be paid to the surviving spouse, children, parents or, in their absence, to other heirs, under the conditions of common law, upon their request. The amounts provided above can be requested at the territorial agency for payments and social inspection by the heir, within the general prescription period, based on the document certifying the status of heir, as well as, in the case where there are multiple heirs, a statement on their own responsibility that the other heirs are not claiming these sums.

By the 5th of each month, the town halls/ DGASPC in the case of Bucharest Municipality are obliged to send, based on a summary sheet, the applications registered in the previous month, accompanied by supporting documents, to the County Agency for Payments and Social Inspection/ of Bucharest Municipality.
The town halls will upload in the Necessary Documents section the Summary Sheet, the UAT Decision, and the Modification Requests with the supporting documents.
