Eligible persons (who, for 12 months out of the 2 years prior to the child's birth, obtained income from salaries, income from independent activities, income from agricultural activities, or were in one or more of the situations referred to as assimilated periods) who, during the period in which they are entitled to child raising leave, obtain taxable income, are entitled to an insertion incentive in a monthly amount of 50% of the minimum amount of the monthly child raising allowance.

For persons who obtain taxable income at least 60 days before the child turns 2 years old, or 3 years old in the case of a child with a disability, the insertion incentive is granted until the child reaches the age of 3 years, or 4 years in the user of a child with a disability.

Either of the biological parents of the child, as well as the person who has adopted a child, may benefit from this right, provided they meet the eligibility criteria.

Social assistance is granted monthly, to supplement the net monthly incomes of the family or single person.

Children of foreign citizens and of stateless persons resident, under the micro-conditions of the law, in Romania, if they live together with their parents, also benefit from the state allowance for children.

This right can be requested by any of the natural parents of the child, as well as by the person who has adopted a child, provided that they meet the criteria.

The allowance for raising children up to 2 years old, or up to 3 years old in the case of a child with disabilities, is a form of support to which are entitled persons who, in the last 24 months prior to the child's birth, have obtained income for 12 months from salaries, independent activities, agricultural activities subject to income tax according to the provisions of Law no. 227/2015 regarding the Fiscal Code, with subsequent amendments and additions, or have been in one or more of the situations called assimilated periods. Either biological parent of the child, as well as the person who has adopted a child, can benefit from this right, provided they meet the eligibility criteria.

Social tickets for kindergarten are granted to children from disadvantaged families who participate in activities organized within preschool education units and who are at risk of both dropping out and not attending preschool classes, due to limited access to economic resources and education. The minimum monthly nominal value of the educational incentive, granted in the form of social tickets for kindergarten, is 50 lei/month.

The social ticket for kindergarten is granted to children from disadvantaged families, provided that the following criteria are cumulatively met:

- the child is enrolled in a preschool education unit, and the monthly income per family member is up to twice the minimum guaranteed income level for a single person, provided by Law no. 416/2001 regarding the minimum guaranteed income, with subsequent amendments and completions.

It is granted to families with incomes below the limit of 530 lei/family member, provided that minors of school age attend school courses.

Granting aid to cover parts of the expenses related to heating the home during the cold season.
