Issuance of the non-exclusive license for the use of musical works for ambient purposes.*
According to the provisions of art.130 para.1 letter a) of Law 8/1996 regarding copyright and related rights, UCMR-ADA grants non-exclusive authorizations to users, at their request, made before the use of the protected repertoire, in exchange for a remuneration, by non-exclusive license, in written form.
Legal entities or authorized individuals who wish to create a pleasant ambiance by using musical works for ambient purposes within their economic activity (e.g. in restaurants, bars, accommodation units, stores of any kind, passenger transport, fairs, exhibitions, leisure activities, etc.) have the obligation to conclude with UCMR-ADA a non-exclusive authorization for the use of musical works for ambient purposes and to pay the remunerations owed as patrimonial copyright, depending on the type of activity.
