Ilfov Pharmacists' College*

The resumption of membership is made based on a request, which the applicant, the pharmacist, submits at the headquarters of the Territorial College, respectively the Ilfov Pharmacists' College, through which he/she requests the resumption of membership starting from a certain date.

The transfer note is issued by the college where the pharmacist is registered, based on a request. Before issuing the transfer note, the requesting pharmacist is obliged to pay up to date the dues owed to the college from which they wish to transfer. The transfer note will be handed, with signature, to the applicant. In the pharmacists' register (https://portal.tm-c.eu/LstFarma/ColegFarm), the college to which the pharmacist has transferred will be mentioned. If at the college from which the pharmacist is transferring a complaint has been registered against them or a disciplinary investigation has been initiated, the complaint, respectively the disciplinary file, will be forwarded to the college to which the pharmacist is transferring.

The membership certificate is granted to pharmacists who, by making an express request in this regard, meet the following conditions: hold an official qualification title in pharmacy, are not found in any of the cases of unworthiness or incompatibility provided by law, are medically fit to practice the profession of pharmacist, have not interrupted the practice of the profession for more than 5 years or have obtained their bachelor's degree in the last 5 years, have paid the registration fee (the fee is paid to the account of the territorial college in the amount of 208 lei for persons who enrolled within 1 YEAR of graduation and 235 lei for other persons).

The suspension of membership status occurs when the applicant, the pharmacist, for certain reasons wishes to interrupt their activity for a certain period of time and submits a request to the headquarters of the territorial College, namely the Bucharest College of Pharmacists, requesting the suspension of the membership status. At the time of requesting this suspension, the pharmacist must have the membership fee paid up to the end of the year and must fulfill the continuing professional education requirement by completing 40 EFC hours for that period.

The pharmacist is obliged to inform the Romanian College of Pharmacists within 30 days of resuming activity.

In order to proceed with issuing a duplicate of the Membership Certificate of the College of Pharmacists in Romania, the applicant must submit the complete documentation at the headquarters of the College of Pharmacists Bucharest, according to the provisions of Decision no. 4/2004 of the National Council of the College of Pharmacists in Romania, the documents presented below.

Regarding the Current Professional Certificate, we would like to make the following clarifications:

In accordance with the provisions of the Pharmacy Law no. 266/2008 in the consolidated form as it was published in the Official Gazette no. 448/30.06.2009 Part I, as well as the Application Norms published in the Official Gazette no. 538/03.07.2009 Part I, pharmacists who will hold the position of chief pharmacist in a pharmaceutical unit (in cases of establishment of new pharmaceutical units, as well as changes of the chief pharmacist - for those who will take over the position of chief), shall address the county colleges to obtain the Current Professional Certificate.

Also, this document is necessary for pharmacists who wish to practice their profession outside the country's borders.

The methodology for preparing and issuing the Current Professional Certificate was established by Decision of the National Council of C.F.R. no. 1/2007, decision published in the Official Gazette of Romania Part I no. 324 of 15.05.2007.

We present below the main provisions of Decision no. 1/2007, as follows:

- The Current Professional Certificate will be prepared by the College of Pharmacists of Romania and issued by the territorial college with which the applicant is registered;

- The validity of the Current Professional Certificate is 3 months from the date of issue;

- Within a maximum of three days from receiving the application for issuing the Current Professional Certificate, the territorial college will send to the College of Pharmacists of Romania the standard application for preparing and issuing the document;

- Within a maximum of 30 days from receiving the application, C.F.R. will prepare the certificate and send it to the territorial college;

- The Current Professional Certificate will be issued by the College of Pharmacists of Romania, which will prepare it and send it to the territorial college;

- The territorial college will prepare a Registry of records—with identifying data of the Current Professional Certificates issued to pharmacists in the respective county—and will hand them over to the applicants with signature of receipt.

The fee for issuing the Current Professional Certificate, in the amount of 100 lei, will be paid into the account of the territorial College RO87BTRLRONCRT0422824001.
