General Directorate of Social Assistance and Child Protection Sector 3*

The procedure establishes the steps to be followed for the identification, recruitment, evaluation, and certification of maternal assistants, in accordance with the legislation in force, within the General Directorate of Social Assistance and Child Protection sector 3. The maternal assistant is the physical person, certified under the conditions of Ordinance no. 27/2024, who ensures, through the activity carried out at their home, the upbringing, care, and education necessary for the harmonious development of the children received in placement. The person who requests to become a maternal assistant will submit an application for capacity evaluation to the DGASPC sector 3. The application must obligatorily mention the number of children for whom the applicant considers they can simultaneously provide optimal care conditions, their age group, children with disabilities, the capacity to receive children in an emergency regime or during another maternal assistant’s respite period.
