Olt Pharmacists’ College*

Resuming membership is done based on a request, which the applicant, the pharmacist, submits to the headquarters of the Territorial College, namely the College of Pharmacists Bucharest, requesting the resumption of membership starting from a certain date.

In support of the request, the documents listed below are attached.

The suspension of membership is made at the moment when the applicant, the pharmacist, for certain reasons wishes to interrupt their activity for a certain period of time and submits to the headquarters of the Territorial College, namely the Bucharest College of Pharmacists, an application requesting the suspension of membership. At the time of requesting this suspension, the pharmacist must have the membership fee paid up until the end of the year and must fulfill the condition of continuous professional training by having 40 EFC hours for the respective period.

The pharmacist is obliged to inform the College of Pharmacists of Romania within 30 days of resuming activity.

The transfer note is issued by the college where the pharmacist is registered, based on a request. Before issuing the transfer note, the requesting pharmacist is obliged to pay up to date the membership fee owed to the college from which they wish to leave. The transfer note will be handed, with signature, to the applicant. In the pharmacists' records register (https://portal.tm-c.eu/LstFarma/ColegFarm), the college to which the pharmacist has transferred will be mentioned. If at the college from which the pharmacist is transferring a complaint has been registered against them or a disciplinary investigation has been started, the complaint, respectively the disciplinary file, will be sent to the college to which the pharmacist transfers.

Regarding the Current Professional Certificate, we would like to make the following clarifications:

In accordance with the provisions of the Pharmacy Law no. 266/2008 in its consolidated form as published in O.G. no. 448/30.06.2009 Part I, as well as the Application Norms published in O.G. no. 538/03.07.2009 Part I, pharmacists who will hold the position of chief pharmacist in a pharmaceutical unit (in cases of the establishment of new pharmaceutical units, as well as changes of chief pharmacist - for those who will take over the position), will approach the county colleges to obtain the Current Professional Certificate.

Also, this document is required for pharmacists who wish to practice their profession outside the country's borders.

The methodology for preparing and issuing the Current Professional Certificate was established by Decision of the National Council of C.F.R. no. 1/2007, decision published in the Official Gazette of Romania Part I no. 324 of 15.05.2007.

Below we present the main provisions of Decision no. 1/2007, as follows:
- The Current Professional Certificate will be prepared by the College of Pharmacists of Romania and issued by the territorial college where the applicant is registered;
- The validity of the Current Professional Certificate is 3 months from the date of issuance;
- Within a maximum of three days from receiving the request for issuance of the Current Professional Certificate, the territorial college will send to the College of Pharmacists of Romania the standard request for preparing and issuing the document;
- Within a maximum of 30 days from receiving the request, the C.F.R. will prepare the certificate and send it to the territorial college;
- The Current Professional Certificate will be issued by the College of Pharmacists of Romania, which will create and send it to the territorial college;
- The territorial college will prepare a Register of records – with the identification data of the Current Professional Certificates issued to pharmacists in that county – and will hand them to applicants under receipt signature.

The fee for issuing the Current Professional Certificate, in the amount of 150 lei, will be paid into the account of the territorial College.

To obtain the Current Professional Certificate, the pharmacist shall submit to the territorial college a file which will include the documents attached below.
