Covasna College of Pharmacists*

In order to proceed with the issuance of a duplicate Certificate of Membership of the College of Pharmacists in Romania, the applicant must submit the complete documentation at the headquarters of the Covasna College of Pharmacists, in accordance with the provisions of Decision no. 4/2004 of the National Council of the College of Pharmacists in Romania, the fee is 150 lei

The transfer note is issued by the college where the pharmacist is registered, based on a request. Before the transfer note is issued, the requesting pharmacist is required to pay up to date the dues owed to the college from which they wish to leave. The transfer note will be handed, under signature, to the applicant. In the register of pharmacists (https://portal.tm-c.eu/LstFarma/ColegFarm) the college to which the pharmacist has transferred will be mentioned. If at the college from which the pharmacist is transferring a complaint has been filed against them or if a disciplinary investigation has been initiated, the complaint, respectively the disciplinary case file, will be forwarded to the college to which the pharmacist is transferring.

The suspension of membership status takes place when the applicant, the pharmacist, for certain reasons wishes to interrupt their activity for a certain period of time and submits to the headquarters of the Territorial College, respectively the Covasna College of Pharmacists, a request through which they ask for the suspension of membership status. At the time of requesting this suspension, the pharmacist must have paid the fee up to the end of the year and must meet the requirement of continuous professional development with a number of 40 EFC hours for the respective period.

The pharmacist is obliged to inform the College of Pharmacists of Romania within 30 days from the resumption of activity.

The membership certificate is granted to pharmacists who, upon making an express request in this regard, meet the following conditions: hold an official pharmacy qualification, are not in any cases of unworthiness or incompatibility provided by law, are medically fit to practice the profession of pharmacist, have not interrupted practicing the profession for more than 5 years or have obtained the bachelor's degree in the last 5 years, have paid the registration fee (the fee is paid into the territorial college account RO30RNCB0124108122120001 in the amount of 405 lei, equal to 10% of the gross minimum salary)

Regarding the Current Professional Certificate, we would like to make the following clarifications:

In accordance with the provisions of Pharmacy Law no. 266/2008 in its consolidated form as published in Official Gazette no. 448/30.06.2009 part I, as well as the Application Norms published in Official Gazette no. 538/03.07.2009 part I, pharmacists who will hold the position of chief pharmacist in a pharmaceutical unit (in cases of establishment of new pharmaceutical units, as well as changes of chief pharmacist - for those who will take over the position of chief), will address the county colleges to obtain the Current Professional Certificate.

Also, this document is necessary for pharmacists who wish to practice their profession outside the borders of the country.

The methodology for preparing and issuing the Current Professional Certificate was established by Decision of the National Council of C.F.R. no. 1/2007, decision published in the Official Gazette of Romania Part I no. 324 of 15.05.2007.

Below, we present the main provisions of Decision no. 1/2007, as follows:

- The Current Professional Certificate will be prepared by the College of Pharmacists of Romania and issued by the territorial college where the applicant is registered;

- The validity of the Current Professional Certificate is 3 months from the date of issuance;

- Within a maximum of three days from receiving the request for issuing the Current Professional Certificate, the territorial college will send to the College of Pharmacists of Romania the standard application for preparing and issuing the document;

- Within a maximum of 30 days from receiving the application, C.F.R. will prepare the certificate and send it to the territorial college;

- The Current Professional Certificate will be issued by the College of Pharmacists of Romania, which will prepare it and transmit it to the territorial college;

- The territorial college will prepare a Registry of records – with the identification data of the Current Professional Certificates issued to pharmacists of the respective county – and will hand them over to the applicants under signature of receipt.

The fee for issuing the Current Professional Certificate, in the amount of 150 lei, will be paid into the account of the territorial College RO30RNCB0124108122120001.

Resumption of membership is done based on a request, which the applicant, the pharmacist, submits to the headquarters of the territorial College, namely the Covasna College of Pharmacists, through which they request the resumption of membership starting from a certain date.
