Regarding the Current Professional Certificate, we would like to make the following clarifications:

In accordance with the provisions of the Pharmacy Law no. 266/2008 with `subsequent amendments and completions, as well as its implementing rules, approved by OMS no. 444/2019, with subsequent modifications and completions, the current professional certificate is obtained at the pharmacist’s request, being necessary for occupying the position of chief pharmacist in a pharmaceutical unit or for practicing the profession outside the country’s borders.

The methodology for drafting and issuing the Current Professional Certificate was established by National Council Decision no. 1/2007, amended and completed by Decisions no. 2/2019 and no. 1/15.09.2023.

To obtain the current Professional Certificate, the pharmacist will submit or send electronically to the territorial college of which they are a member the standard application, as well as the documents below, if these have not already been submitted and registered at the territorial college of which they are a member.

The Current Professional Certificate will be prepared by the College of Pharmacists of Romania and issued by the territorial college where the applicant is registered;

The validity of the Current Professional Certificate is 3 months from the date of issuance.

Within a "maximum" of three days from or after receiving the request for issuance of the Current Professional Certificate, the territorial college will send to the College of Pharmacists of Romania the standard application for drafting and issuing the document; within a maximum of 10 days from receiving the request, the C.F.R. will prepare the certificate and send it to the territorial college via the dedicated electronic platform.

The territorial college will prepare a Register of records – with the identification data of the Current Professional Certificates issued to pharmacists from that county.

The issuance of the current professional certificate will be done to applicants electronically (e-mail with receipt confirmation) or at the office, under signature of receipt.

The fee for issuing the Current Professional Certificate, in the amount of 150 lei, will be paid to the account of the territorial College RO05 BRDE 120S V093 4312 1200

All documents will be signed and will bear the mention "Certified true copy of the original."

The suspension of membership status occurs when the applicant, the pharmacist, for certain reasons wishes to interrupt their activity for a certain period of time and submits the standard request form for suspension of membership to the headquarters of the Territorial College or electronically. At the time of requesting this suspension, the pharmacist must have paid the membership fee up to the end of the year and must fulfill the requirement of continuous professional training through a number of EFC hours corresponding to the period up to the submission of the request.

The pharmacist undertakes to inform the College of Pharmacists of Romania - the territorial branch where they will work, within 30 days of resuming activity.

The transfer note is issued by the college where the pharmacist is registered, based on a request. Before the transfer note is issued, the requesting pharmacist is required to pay up to date the membership fee owed to the college from which they wish to leave. The transfer note will be handed, under signature, to the applicant or will be sent by electronic means. In the pharmacist record register (https://portal.tm-c.eu/LstFarma/ColegFarm) the college to which the pharmacist has been transferred will be mentioned. If a complaint has been registered with the college from which the pharmacist is transferring, or a disciplinary investigation has been initiated, the complaint or the disciplinary file will be sent to the college to which the pharmacist is transferring.

Note: If the documents requested below (except for the application) have already been submitted to the Călărași Pharmacists' College, they do not need to be attached to the application.

The membership certificate is granted to pharmacists who, by making an express request to this effect, meet the following conditions: they hold an official qualification title in pharmacy, are not in any of the cases of unworthiness or incompatibility provided by law, are medically fit to practice as a pharmacist, have not interrupted the practice of the profession for more than 5 years or have obtained a bachelor's degree in the last 5 years, have paid the registration fee (the fee is paid into the account of the territorial college RO05 BRDE 120S V093 4312 1200, in the amount of 10% of the minimum wage at the time of the request).

All documents will be signed and bear the statement "True to the original".

In order to proceed with the issuance of a duplicate Member Certificate from the Romanian College of Pharmacists, the applicant shall submit or send electronically to the Călărași College of Pharmacists the standard application and the complete documentation, in accordance with the provisions of Decision no. 4/2004, amended and supplemented by Decision no. 2/24.11.2022, of the National Council of the Romanian College of Pharmacists.

All documents must be signed and bear the remark "Certified copy of the original." The fee of 150 lei is paid into the account of the College of Pharmacists of Romania:
