Request for the current CPC professional certificate*
Regarding the Current Professional Certificate, we would like to make the following clarifications:
In accordance with the provisions of Pharmacy Law no. 266/2008 in its consolidated form as published in Official Gazette no. 448/30.06.2009 Part I, as well as the Application Norms published in Official Gazette no. 538/03.07.2009 Part I, pharmacists who will hold the position of chief pharmacist in a pharmaceutical unit (in cases of establishing new pharmaceutical units, as well as changes of chief pharmacist – for those who will take over the chief position), will address the county colleges to obtain the Current Professional Certificate.
In accordance with the provisions of Pharmacy Law no. 266/2008 in its consolidated form as published in Official Gazette no. 448/30.06.2009 Part I, as well as the Application Norms published in Official Gazette no. 538/03.07.2009 Part I, pharmacists who will hold the position of chief pharmacist in a pharmaceutical unit (in cases of establishing new pharmaceutical units, as well as changes of chief pharmacist – for those who will take over the chief position), will address the county colleges to obtain the Current Professional Certificate.
Also, this document is necessary for pharmacists who wish to practice their profession outside the country's borders.
The methodology for preparing and issuing the Current Professional Certificate was established by the Decision of the National Council of the C.F.R. no. 1/2007, decision published in the Official Gazette of Romania Part I no. 324 of 15.05.2007.
Below we present the main provisions of Decision no. 1/2007, as follows:
- The Current Professional Certificate will be prepared by the College of Pharmacists of Romania and issued by the territorial college where the applicant is registered;
- The validity of the Current Professional Certificate is 3 months from the date of issue;
- Within a maximum of three days from receiving the request for issuing the Current Professional Certificate, the territorial college will send the standard application to the College of Pharmacists of Romania for the preparation and issuance of the document;
- Within a maximum of 30 days from receiving the application, C.F.R. will prepare the certificate and send it to the territorial college;
- The Current Professional Certificate will be issued by the College of Pharmacists of Romania which will prepare it and send it to the territorial college;
- The territorial college will prepare a Register of evidence – with the identification data of the Current Professional Certificates issued to pharmacists in the respective county – and will hand them to applicants under signature of receipt.
The issuance fee of the Current Professional Certificate, in the amount of 100 lei, will be paid into the account of the territorial College RO45BRDE410SV26208314100.

To obtain the Current Professional Certificate, the pharmacist will submit to the territorial college a file containing the documents attached below.

Registration in the College of Pharmacists of Romania*
The membership certificate is granted to pharmacists who, by making an explicit request in this regard, meet the following conditions: hold an official qualification in pharmacy, are not found in any cases of unworthiness or incompatibility provided by law, are medically fit to practice the profession of pharmacist, have not interrupted the practice of the profession for more than 5 years or have obtained the bachelor's degree within the last 5 years, have paid the registration fee (the fee is paid into the account of the territorial college RO45BRDE410SV26208314100 in the amount of 208 lei for persons who registered within 1 YEAR after graduation and 235 lei for the rest of the persons).

Suspension of membership*
The suspension of membership status occurs when the applicant, the pharmacist, for certain reasons wishes to interrupt their activity for a certain period of time and submits at the headquarters of the territorial College, respectively the Bucharest College of Pharmacists, a request for the suspension of membership status. When requesting this suspension, the pharmacist must have paid the dues up to the end of the year and must fulfill the condition of continuous professional development with a total of 40 EFC hours for that period.
In support of the requests, the documents listed below are attached.
The pharmacist undertakes to inform the College of Pharmacists of Romania within 30 days of resuming activity.

Pharmacist transfer*
The transfer note is issued by the college where the pharmacist is registered, based on a request. Before issuing the transfer note, the requesting pharmacist is obliged to pay up to date the fee owed to the college from which he/she wishes to leave. The transfer note will be handed, under signature, to the applicant. In the pharmacist record register (https://portal.tm-c.eu/LstFarma/ColegFarm) the college to which the pharmacist has transferred will be mentioned. If a complaint has been registered with the college from which the pharmacist is transferring or if a disciplinary investigation has been initiated, the complaint or the disciplinary file will be forwarded to the college to which the pharmacist is transferring.

Duplicate membership certificate*
In order to proceed with the issuance of a duplicate of the Membership Certificate of the College of Pharmacists of Romania, the applicant must submit the complete documentation at the headquarters of the Bucharest College of Pharmacists, according to the provisions of Decision no.4/2004 of the National Council of the College of Pharmacists of Romania and the documents presented below.

Resumption of membership*
Resumption of membership is done based on a request, which the applicant, the pharmacist, submits to the headquarters of the Territorial College, namely the Bucharest College of Pharmacists, by which they request the resumption of membership starting from a certain date.
