Request for the Current Professional Certificate*
Regarding the Current Professional Certificate, we would like to make the following clarifications:
In accordance with the provisions of the Pharmacy Law no. 266/2008 as consolidated, as published in the Official Gazette no. 448/30.06.2009 Part I, as well as the Application Norms published in the Official Gazette no. 538/03.07.2009 Part I, pharmacists who will hold the position of chief pharmacist in a pharmaceutical unit (in cases of establishment of new pharmaceutical units, as well as changes of chief pharmacist - for those who will take over the position of chief), will address the county colleges to obtain the Current Professional Certificate.
Also, this document is necessary for pharmacists who wish to practice their profession outside the country’s borders.
The methodology for drafting and issuing the Current Professional Certificate was established by Decision of the National Council of C.F.R. no. 1/2007, decision published in the Official Gazette of Romania Part I no. 324 of 15.05.2007.
Below we present the main provisions of Decision no. 1/2007, as follows:
- The Current Professional Certificate will be drawn up by the College of Pharmacists of Romania and issued by the territorial college where the applicant is registered;
- The validity of the Current Professional Certificate is 3 months from the date of issue;
- Within a maximum of three days from receipt of the request for issuing the Current Professional Certificate, the territorial college will forward to the College of Pharmacists of Romania the standard request for drafting and issuing the document;
- Within a maximum of 30 days from receipt of the application, the C.F.R. will draft the certificate and send it to the territorial college;
- The Current Professional Certificate will be issued by the College of Pharmacists of Romania, which will prepare it and send it to the territorial college;
- The territorial college will prepare a Register of records – with the identification data of the Current Professional Certificates issued to pharmacists in the respective county – and will hand them over to the applicants under signed receipt.
The fee for issuing the Current Professional Certificate, in the amount of 150 lei, will be paid into the account of the territorial College RO42BTRL02501205137047XX in accordance with Decision no. 1/21.11.2024 of the CFR.
To obtain the Current Professional Certificate, the pharmacist will submit to the territorial college a file which will include the documents attached below.
*Resumption of membership status*
Procedure regarding enrollment in the College of Pharmacists of Romania - College of Pharmacists of Maramures County*
The membership certificate is granted to pharmacists who, upon making an express request to this effect, meet the following conditions: hold an official qualification in pharmacy, are not found in any of the cases of unworthiness or incompatibility provided by law, are medically fit to practice the profession of pharmacist, have not interrupted the practice of the profession for more than 5 years or have obtained their bachelor's degree within the last 5 years, have paid the registration fee (the fee is to be paid into the territorial college account RO42BTRL02501205137047XX)
*Suspension of membership*
The suspension of membership status is carried out when the applicant, the pharmacist, for certain reasons wishes to interrupt their activity for a certain period of time and submits a request to the headquarters of the Territorial College, namely the Maramures College of Pharmacists, requesting the suspension of membership status. At the time of requesting this suspension, the pharmacist must have paid the membership fee up to the end of the year and must meet the requirement of continuous professional training with a total of 40 EFC hours for the respective period. In support of the requests, the documents listed below must be attached. The pharmacist undertakes to inform the College of Pharmacists of Romania within 30 days of resuming activity.
