Granting social assistance and family support allowance*
Granting social assistance to single individuals/families with incomes that do not exceed the guaranteed minimum income.
The mayor's order regarding the granting, non-granting, modification, suspension, termination of rights provided by this law, the changing of the holder of these rights, as well as the corresponding decisions of the executive director, including those concerning the recovery of amounts unduly received, may be challenged in accordance with the provisions of the Administrative Litigation Law no. 554/2004, with subsequent amendments and completions.
The granting of the family support allowance aims to supplement family incomes in order to provide better conditions for raising and educating children, as well as encouraging school-age children under the care of low-income families to attend courses of a form of education.

Granting of state allowance for children*
The state child allowance is granted to all children up to the age of 18, without discrimination. The state child allowance is also granted to young people who have turned 18 years old and are attending high school or vocational education courses, organized according to the law, until their completion, except for those who repeat the school year, with the exception of those who repeat due to health reasons, proven with a medical certificate.
Children of foreign citizens and stateless persons residing, under the law, in Romania, are also entitled to the state child allowance if they live together with their parents.
This right can be requested by either of the child’s biological parents, as well as by the person who has adopted a child, provided that they meet the eligibility criteria.

Granting assistance for heating the home during the cold season*
Based on G.E.O. no. 70/2011 regarding social protection measures during the cold season, with amendments and additions, as well as G.D. no. 920/2011 for the approval of the Methodological Norms for the application of G.E.O. no. 70/2011, families and single persons from Grădinari commune whose net average monthly income per family member does not exceed 750 lei, can submit requests and declarations on their own responsibility, for the granting of aid for heating the home with natural gas, electricity and/or wood, petroleum fuels.
