In accordance with Law 278/2015, the Order of General Nurses, Midwives and Medical Assistants of Romania, as a competent authority, draws up and issues the documents (certificates, etc.) necessary for the recognition for professional purposes of the Romanian qualification titles of general nurse, midwife, and medical assistant in the other EU Member States.

The activities of attesting Romanian qualification titles of general nurse, midwife, and medical assistant in the other EU Member States consist in preparing and issuing documents, hereinafter referred to as attestation documents, used by the authorities of the other EU Member States, the states belonging to the European Economic Area, and the Swiss Confederation for the professional recognition of these titles, according to the procedures provided in Directive 2005/36/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 7 September 2005 on the recognition of professional qualifications, as subsequently amended and supplemented.Where applicable, attestation documents are certificates or recommendations.

Online requests for issuing the documents necessary for the recognition for professional purposes of the aforementioned Romanian titles, accompanied by the corresponding documents, are sent via PCUe to the county/ Municipality of Bucharest branch of OAMGMAMR, to which the applicant is a member. If the applicant has NOT acquired the status of OAMGMAMR member, the application is submitted online via PCUe to the OAMGMAMR branch in whose territorial area the applicant resides.

If the applicant does not attach all the required documents or it is found that the file is incomplete, the applicant will be notified through the PCUe system. Within 15 days from notification, the applicant has the obligation to complete the file with all the requested documents. If the applicant does not meet the completion deadline, upon its expiry, the file will be automatically closed by the PCUe system.

The recognition documents (certificates/recommendations) will be prepared at the level of the OAMGMAMR National specialized structure, and within 90 days from the registration of the complete electronic file, they will be sent online to the applicants via PCUe by the county branch of OAMGMAMR where they submitted the electronic file.
