Pharmacist Certificate Duplicate Request Procedure*
In order to proceed with the issuance of a duplicate of the Certificate of Membership of the College of Pharmacists of Romania, the applicant must submit the complete documentation at the headquarters of the College of Pharmacists Bucharest, in accordance with the provisions of Decision no. 4/2004 of the National Council of the College of Pharmacists of Romania, the documents listed below.
*Pharmacist Transfer Request Procedure*
The transfer note is issued by the college where the pharmacist is registered, based on a request. Before issuing the transfer note, the requesting pharmacist is required to pay up to date the membership fee owed to the college they wish to leave. The transfer note will be handed to the applicant, under signature. In the pharmacist registration record (https://portal.tm-c.eu/LstFarma/ColegFarm) the college to which the pharmacist has transferred will be mentioned. If at the level of the college from which the pharmacist is transferring a complaint has been registered against them or disciplinary investigation has been initiated, the complaint or the disciplinary file will be sent to the college to which the pharmacist is transferring.
*Procedure for suspending membership in the College of Pharmacists of Romania*
The suspension of membership status is made when the applicant, the pharmacist, for certain reasons wishes to interrupt their activity for a certain period of time and submits to the headquarters of the Territorial College, respectively the Bucharest College of Pharmacists, a request by which they ask for the suspension of membership status. At the time of requesting this suspension, the pharmacist must have paid the membership fee up to the end of the year and must meet the continuous professional training requirement by completing 40 EFC hours for the respective period.
The pharmacist is obliged to inform the College of Pharmacists of Romania within 30 days from resuming activity.
Procedure regarding obtaining the Current Professional Certificate*
Regarding the Current Professional Certificate, we wish to make the following clarifications:
In accordance with the provisions of the Pharmacy Law no. 266/2008 consolidated version as published in the Official Gazette no. 448/30.06.2009 Part I, as well as the Implementation Rules published in the Official Gazette no. 538/03.07.2009 Part I, pharmacists who will hold the position of chief pharmacist in a pharmaceutical unit (in cases of establishment of new pharmaceutical units, as well as in changes of the chief pharmacist – for those taking over the chief position), must address the county colleges to obtain the Current Professional Certificate.
Also, this document is necessary for pharmacists who wish to practice their profession outside the country's borders.
The methodology for the preparation and issuance of the Current Professional Certificate was established by Decision of the National Council of the C.F.R. no. 1/2007, decision published in the Official Gazette of Romania Part I no. 324 of 15.05.2007.
Below we present the main provisions of Decision no. 1/2007, as follows:
- The Current Professional Certificate will be drawn up by the College of Pharmacists of Romania and issued by the territorial college where the applicant is registered;
- The validity of the Current Professional Certificate is 3 months from the date of issue;
- Within a maximum of three days from receiving the application for issuance of the Current Professional Certificate, the territorial college will send to the College of Pharmacists of Romania the standard request for the preparation and issuance of the document;
- Within a maximum of 30 days from receiving the request, the C.F.R. will prepare the certificate and send it to the territorial college;
- The Current Professional Certificate will be issued by the College of Pharmacists of Romania, which will prepare it and send it to the territorial college;
- The territorial college will draw up a Register of records – with identification data of the Current Professional Certificates issued to pharmacists in the respective county – and will hand them to applicants against signature of receipt.
The issuance fee for the Current Professional Certificate, in the amount of 100 lei, will be paid into the account of the territorial College RO46BTRLRONCRT0PC6567601 (RON) BANCA TRANSILVANIA ORADEA.
To obtain the Current Professional Certificate, the pharmacist will submit to the territorial college a file including the documents listed below.
*Procedure Request for Certificate of Membership of the College of Pharmacists*
The membership certificate is awarded to pharmacists who, by making an express request in this regard, meet the following conditions: they hold an official pharmacy qualification title, are not in any case of unworthiness or incompatibility provided by law, are medically fit to practice as a pharmacist, have not interrupted the practice of the profession for more than 5 years or have obtained their bachelor's degree in the last 5 years, have paid the registration fee (the fee is paid into the account of the territorial college IBAN CODE: RO46BTRLRONCRT0PC6567601 (RON) BANCA TRANSILVANIA 208 lei for persons who registered within 1 YEAR from graduation and 235 lei for the rest of the persons).
*Procedure for resuming membership in the College of Pharmacists of Romania*
Resumption of membership is done based on a request, which the applicant, the pharmacist, submits to the headquarters of the territorial College, respectively the Bucharest College of Pharmacists, through which he requests the resumption of membership starting from a certain date.
