Professional maternal assistant certification*
The maternal assistant is the natural person, certified according to the law, employed by DGASPC Alba, who cares for at his/her own home the child/children from the protection system, whom he/she receives with a protection measure-placement. Persons with legal and actual residence in Alba County, interested in becoming maternal assistants, shall submit an evaluation request and the documents mentioned below at the headquarters of the General Directorate of Social Assistance and Child Protection Alba, located in Alba Iulia, Bld. 1 Decembrie 1918, no. 68. The request must mandatorily specify the number of children for whom the applicant considers that they can simultaneously ensure optimal care conditions, their age group and gender, the availability to care for children with disabilities/impairments, HIV–infected or AIDS–sick children. The request shall include the applicant's Curriculum Vitae, as well as the reasons why they wish to become a professional maternal assistant. The professional maternal assistant certificate is issued by the Commission for Child Protection Alba and is valid for 3 years. The employment of the maternal assistant, i.e., the signing of the work contract, takes place from the moment he/she receives, by protection measure, the child/children in difficulty.
