Through this procedure, the status of doctoral supervisor obtained at an accredited institution of higher education abroad is automatically recognized within the “Carol Davila” University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Bucharest. The procedure applies to Romanian citizens and citizens of member states of the European Union, the European Economic Area, and the Swiss Confederation who have obtained the status of doctoral supervisor at accredited university institutions in member states of the European Union, the European Economic Area, the Swiss Confederation, and at prestigious universities from other states included in the "List of prestigious universities from other states," approved by OMECTS no. 5825/2016 and periodically updated, for the purpose of settling on Romanian territory. Only in the case of temporary exercise, the provisions of Law 200/2004 and Article 296 of Law 1/2011 apply directly. The exercise of the rights conferred by the status of doctoral supervisor and occupying a teaching position in the Romanian higher education system is carried out according to the legal norms in force.
