Within UEMR, teaching positions in higher education obtained in accredited higher education institutions in member states of the European Union, the European Economic Area, the Swiss Confederation, and in prestigious universities from other countries included in the “List of prestigious universities from other countries,” approved by MENCS Order no. 5.462/2018 and periodically updated, are recognized.

The provisions of this procedure apply to Romanian citizens, citizens of the member states of the European Union, the European Economic Area, the Swiss Confederation, and citizens of third countries.

Teaching positions obtained at other accredited higher education institutions than those mentioned above are recognized only based on a mutual recognition agreement concluded at the intergovernmental or interuniversity level.

For the recognition of teaching positions obtained abroad, UEMR may collaborate with the National Center for Diploma Recognition and Equivalence (CNRED) and the National Council for Attestation of University Titles, Diplomas, and Certificates (CNATDCU).

This methodology establishes the way in which the recognition is carried out, within the "Eftimie Murgu" University of Reșița (UEMR), of the doctoral diploma and the title of doctor in sciences or in a professional field, obtained abroad.

The provisions of this methodology apply to Romanian citizens, citizens from Member States of the European Union, the European Economic Area, the Swiss Confederation, and citizens from third countries, who have obtained the doctoral diploma and the title of doctor in sciences or in a professional field, obtained abroad in accredited higher education institutions in the Member States of the European Union, the European Economic Area, the Swiss Confederation, and in prestigious universities from other states included in the "List of prestigious universities from other states," approved by OMENCS no. 5.462/2018 and updated periodically.

The status of doctoral supervisor or the habilitation obtained as described in this procedure is recognized by IOSUD-UEMR only for ​​doctoral fields authorized/accredited to operate within the “Eftimie Murgu” University of Reșița.

The status of doctoral supervisor or the habilitation obtained at accredited higher education institutions in member states of the European Union, the European Economic Area, the Swiss Confederation, and at prestigious universities in other countries provided in the List of prestigious universities in other countries (approved by OMECTS no. 5825/2016 and periodically updated), is automatically recognized by IOSUD-UEMR.

The status of doctoral supervisor or the habilitation obtained at accredited higher education institutions abroad, other than those mentioned above, is recognized only on the basis of an international mutual recognition agreement concluded at intergovernmental or interuniversity level.

The procedure for the automatic recognition of the status of doctoral supervisor or habilitation applies to Romanian citizens, citizens of member states of the European Union, the European Economic Area, the Swiss Confederation, and citizens of third countries.
