Operational procedure regarding the recognition by UVT of teaching positions in university education obtained in accredited university education institutions from abroad.*
This procedure regulates the automatic recognition at the West University of Timișoara (UVT) of academic teaching positions obtained in accredited higher education institutions abroad, for the purpose of filling a vacant teaching position within UVT, participating in competition committees for occupying teaching and research positions within UVT, etc.
The provisions of this procedure apply to Romanian citizens, citizens of the member states of the European Union, the European Economic Area, the Swiss Confederation, and citizens from third countries.
"Art. 4. UVT is an accredited higher education institution according to legal regulations and, in this capacity, automatically recognizes teaching positions from higher education obtained in accredited higher education institutions from member states of the European Union, the European Economic Area, the Swiss Confederation, and in prestigious universities from other countries included in the List of prestigious universities from other countries, approved by order of the Minister of National Education and Scientific Research and updated periodically."
"Art. 5. Teaching positions obtained at other accredited higher education institutions than those mentioned in art. 4. are recognized only based on an international mutual recognition agreement, concluded at intergovernmental or interuniversity level."
"Art. 7. The committee that evaluates the recognition file and issues the solution regarding the recognition request, hereinafter referred to as the Evaluation Committee, is composed of 3 members: 1 tenured teaching staff member from the Department similar to the applicant's specialization, the Dean of the Faculty, and 1 representative of the UVT Information and Documentation Resource Center. The tenured teaching staff member, a member of the Evaluation Committee, will be appointed by the Dean, with the approval of the Faculty Council." Issuance of duplicate
In case of loss, destruction or deterioration of the recognition decision, UVT issues, upon request, a duplicate thereof.
*Operational procedure regarding the recognition, by UVT, of the status of doctoral supervisor obtained in accredited higher education institutions abroad*
The purpose of this procedure is to regulate the recognition at the level of the West University of Timișoara (UVT) of the status of doctoral supervisor, for affiliation to doctoral schools within IOSUD-UVT.
Recognition of the status of doctoral supervisor obtained abroad is carried out based on the Order of the Minister of National Education and Scientific Research no. 5921/2016 for the approval of the Methodology regarding the automatic recognition, by institutions of higher education, respectively the institutions organizing doctoral university studies in Romania, of the status of doctoral supervisor obtained in accredited higher education institutions abroad.
(1) The status of doctoral supervisor or habilitation obtained in accredited higher education institutions from member states of the European Union, the European Economic Area, the Swiss Confederation, and in prestigious universities from other states listed in the List of prestigious universities from other states, approved by the order of the minister of national education and scientific research no. 5825/2016 and periodically updated, is automatically recognized by UVT.
(2) The status of doctoral supervisor or habilitation obtained at other accredited higher education institutions abroad than those mentioned in para. (1) is recognized only on the basis of an international convention of mutual recognition, concluded at intergovernmental or inter-university level.
(3) The provisions of this procedure apply to Romanian citizens, citizens from member states of the European Union, the European Economic Area, the Swiss Confederation, and citizens from third countries.
The provisions of this procedure apply to Romanian citizens, citizens from member states of the European Union, the European Economic Area, the Swiss Confederation, and citizens from third countries, who have obtained teaching positions in accredited higher education institutions from member states of the European Union, the European Economic Area, the Swiss Confederation, and in prestigious universities from other states included in the “List of prestigious universities from other states”, approved by OMECTS no. 5825/2016 and periodically updated.
*Procedure regarding the recognition within UVT of the doctoral diploma and the title of doctor in sciences or in a professional field, obtained from accredited higher education institutions abroad*
The purpose of this procedure is to regulate the recognition at the West University of Timișoara (UVT) of the doctoral degree and the title of doctor in science or in a professional field, obtained abroad, for the purpose of enrollment in postgraduate programs, obtaining habilitation, filling a teaching or research position within UVT.
The recognition of the doctoral degree and the title of doctor in science or in a professional field, obtained abroad, is carried out based on the Order of the Minister of National Education and Scientific Research no. 5923/2016 for the approval of the Methodology regarding the recognition of the doctoral degree and the title of doctor in science or in a professional field, obtained abroad.
The study documents subject to recognition are authenticated with the Hague Apostille for countries that are parties to the Hague Apostille Convention, and for other countries, the study documents are superlegalized or accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity issued by the competent authorities from the country of origin.
The commission that evaluates the recognition file and pronounces the solution regarding the recognition request, hereinafter referred to as the Evaluation Commission, consists of 5 members: the director of the doctoral school in the field of the thesis submitted for recognition, a member of the doctoral school specialized in the field of the doctoral thesis, the chief secretary of UVT, a representative of the Doctoral Studies Office, a representative of the Information and Documentation Resources Center of UVT. The representatives of the doctoral school and the Doctoral Studies Office are appointed by Decision of the CSUD Director (Annex 2). In the situation where recognition of the doctoral degree and the title of doctor in a field that is not part of the IOSUD-UVT is requested, CSUD will propose a commission that may include members from other IOSUD and may have a distinct structure from the one mentioned above.
