This procedure regulates the automatic recognition of the status of doctoral supervisor obtained in accredited higher education institutions abroad.

The procedure regarding the automatic recognition by the “George Enescu” National University of Arts of Iași (hereinafter UNAGE) of the status of doctoral supervisor obtained in accredited higher education institutions abroad is developed based on ORDER no. 5.921/06.12.2016 of the Ministry of National Education and Scientific Research for the approval of the Methodology regarding the automatic recognition of the status of doctoral supervisor obtained in accredited higher education institutions abroad, published in the OFFICIAL GAZETTE no. 1.007 of December 15, 2016.

UNAGE, as an accredited institution of higher education and as an institution organizing doctoral studies in Romania, automatically recognizes the status of doctoral supervisor or habilitation obtained in accredited higher education institutions that are members of the European Union, the European Economic Area, the Swiss Confederation, and in prestigious universities from other states provided in the List of prestigious universities from other states, approved by order of the minister of national education and scientific research and updated periodically.

The status of doctoral supervisor or habilitation obtained at other accredited higher education institutions abroad than those mentioned in para. (1) shall be recognized only on the basis of an international mutual recognition agreement concluded at intergovernmental or interuniversity level.

The provisions of this procedure apply to Romanian citizens, citizens of member states of the European Union, the European Economic Area, the Swiss Confederation, and citizens from third countries.

Based on its own procedure, UNAGE establishes the criteria for the recognition of the status of doctoral supervisor or habilitation and rules a solution regarding the recognition request.

The exercise of the rights conferred by the status of doctoral supervisor and holding a teaching position at UNAGE Iași are carried out in accordance with the legal regulations in force.

UNAGE Iași consults, if necessary, the National Center for Recognition and Equivalence of Diplomas (hereinafter CNRED) and the National Council for the Certification of Titles, Diplomas and University Certificates.

This procedure regulates the recognition of the doctoral diploma and the title of doctor in sciences or in a professional field, obtained abroad.

The procedure regarding the recognition by the “George Enescu” National University of Arts in Iași (hereinafter UNAGE) of the doctoral diploma and the title of doctor in sciences or in a professional field, obtained abroad, is elaborated based on ORDER no. 5.923/06.12.2016 of the Ministry of National Education and Scientific Research for the approval of the Methodology regarding the recognition of the doctoral diploma and the title of doctor in sciences or in a professional field, obtained abroad, published in the OFFICIAL GAZETTE no. 1.014 of December 16, 2016.

The “George Enescu” National University of Arts in Iași, as an accredited institution of higher education, recognizes the doctoral diploma and the title of doctor in sciences or in a professional field, obtained at:

- accredited higher education or research and development institutions from a member state of the European Union, of the European Economic Area and from the Swiss Confederation;

- accredited higher education or research and development institutions included in the List of prestigious universities from other countries, approved by order of the Minister of National Education and Scientific Research, periodically updated;

- accredited higher education or research and development institutions which are subject to an international reciprocal recognition agreement, concluded at intergovernmental or inter-university level.

UNAGE, as an accredited institution of higher education, collaborates permanently with C.N.R.E.D. for the recognition of the diplomas mentioned in paragraph (1) and sends a centralized report of recognition requests to C.N.R.E.D. every semester.

The recognition by UNAGE is achieved on the basis of its own procedure approved at the institution level, for the purpose of registering in postgraduate programs, obtaining habilitation, occupying a teaching or research position within one of the aforementioned institutions or units.

The purpose of the procedure is to establish the way in which the recognition is carried out within the George Enescu National University of Arts (UNAGE) of teaching positions in higher education obtained in accredited higher education institutions abroad, for the purpose of occupying, for a determined period, certain vacant teaching positions as an associate teaching staff, for participation in the committees for competitions for filling vacant teaching/research positions, as well as for participation in the committees designated for advancement exams.
This procedure applies to Romanian citizens, citizens of member states of the European Union, the European Economic Area, the Swiss Confederation, and citizens of third states.
UNAGE is a higher education institution accredited according to legal norms and, as such, recognizes the teaching positions obtained in accredited higher education institutions from member states of the European Union, the European Economic Area, the Swiss Confederation, and prestigious universities from other states included in the List of prestigious universities from other states, approved by the Order of the Minister of Education, Research, Youth, and Sports no.3158/2012.
Teaching positions obtained at other accredited higher education institutions than those mentioned in art. 4 are recognized only based on an international mutual recognition agreement, concluded at intergovernmental or inter-university level.
