Procedure establishes the logical sequence of operations to be performed for obtaining the license to perform the activity of private investigator/detective by specialized agencies / individual offices, the necessary and resulting documents, as well as the documents flow. These procedure refer to persons with Romanian citizenship, citizenship of a Member State of the EU or one of the European Economic Area sates.

Procedure establishes the logical sequence of operations to be performed for carrying out the activity of private investigator/detective, the necessary and resulting documents, as well as the documents' flow. The quality of private detective can be obtained by a person with Romanian citizenship, citizenship of a Member State of the EU or one of the European Economic Area sates. Citizens, who already have the qualifications of private investigator/detective, proven by a corresponding diploma issued by a Member State of the European Union or by a state from the European Economic Area, before practicing this activity in Romania shall request from the General Inspectorate of the Romanian Police - Directorate for Criminal Investigation, the recognition of such qualifications.

The procedure establishes the logical sequence of operations that must be carried out for the recognition activity of qualification certificates or attestations for practicing the profession of private detective, issued in one of the EU or EEA member states, authorization, the necessary documents, as well as their flow. It is addressed to both persons who are citizens of one of the EU or EEA member states.
