Registration in the Mehedinti Pharmacists' College*
The membership certificate is granted to pharmacists who, by making an express request in this regard, meet the following conditions: hold an official qualification in pharmacy, are not in any of the cases of unworthiness or incompatibility provided by law, are medically fit to practice the profession of pharmacist, have not interrupted the practice of the profession for more than 5 years or have obtained their bachelor's degree in the last 5 years, have paid the registration fee (the fee is paid to the account of the territorial college, amounting to 208 lei for persons who registered within 1 YEAR after graduation and 235 lei for other persons).

Duplicate member certificate request*
In order to proceed with the issuance of a duplicate Certificate of membership of the Romanian College of Pharmacists, the applicant must submit the complete documentation at the headquarters of the Mehedinti College of Pharmacists, in accordance with the provisions of Decision no. 4/2004 of the National Council of the Romanian College of Pharmacists, the documents listed below.

Resumption of membership status*
Resumption of membership is done based on a request, which the applicant, the pharmacist, submits to the headquarters of the territorial College, namely the Mehedinti College of Pharmacists, requesting the resumption of membership starting from a certain date.

The request for the current professional certificate*
Regarding the Current Professional Certificate, we wish to make the following clarifications:
In accordance with the provisions of the Pharmacy Law no. 266/2008 in the consolidated form as published in Official Gazette no. 448/30.06.2009 part I, as well as the Implementation Norms published in Official Gazette no. 538/03.07.2009 part I, pharmacists who will hold the position of chief pharmacist in a pharmaceutical unit (in cases of the establishment of new pharmaceutical units, as well as changes of chief pharmacist - for those who will take over the chief position), will approach the county colleges to obtain the Current Professional Certificate.
Also, this document is required for pharmacists who wish to practice their profession outside the country’s borders.
The methodology for drafting and issuing the Current Professional Certificate was established by the Decision of the National Council of C.F.R. no. 1/2007, decision published in the Official Gazette of Romania Part I no. 324 of 15.05.2007.
We present below the main provisions of Decision no. 1/2007, as follows:
- The Current Professional Certificate will be drawn up by the College of Pharmacists of Romania and issued by the territorial college to which the applicant is registered;
- The validity of the Current Professional Certificate is 3 months from the date of issue;
- Within a maximum of three days from the receipt of the request for the issuance of the Current Professional Certificate, the territorial college will send the standard request to the College of Pharmacists of Romania for drafting and issuing the document;
- Within a maximum of 30 days from receiving the request, C.F.R. will draft the certificate and send it to the territorial college;
- The Current Professional Certificate will be issued by the College of Pharmacists of Romania which will create it and send it to the territorial college;
- The territorial college will keep a Registry of records – with the identification data of the Current Professional Certificates issued to pharmacists in the respective county – and will deliver them to the applicants against signature of receipt.
To obtain the Current Professional Certificate, the pharmacist will submit to the territorial college a file that will include the documents listed below.

Pharmacist transfer*
The transfer note is issued by the college where the pharmacist is registered, based on a request. Before issuing the transfer note, the requesting pharmacist is obliged to pay up to date the contribution owed to the college from which they wish to leave. The transfer note will be handed over, under signature, to the applicant. In the register of pharmacists (https://portal.tm-c.eu/LstFarma/ColegFarm) the college to which the pharmacist has transferred will be mentioned. If a complaint has been registered at the college from which the pharmacist is transferring or a disciplinary investigation has been initiated, the complaint or the disciplinary file will be transmitted to the college to which the pharmacist is transferring. The documents required for pharmacist transfer can also be found at the CFR Mehedinti headquarters.

Suspension of membership status*
Suspension of membership status occurs when the applicant, the pharmacist, for certain reasons wishes to interrupt their activity for a specific period of time and submits an application at the territorial College's headquarters requesting the suspension of membership status. When requesting this suspension, the pharmacist must have paid the dues up to the end of the year and must meet the requirement of continuous professional training by completing 40 EFC hours for the respective period.
The pharmacist is obliged to inform the Romanian College of Pharmacists within 30 days of resuming activity.
