The procedure implements OMENCS no. 5922/2016 for the approval of the Methodology regarding the automatic recognition, by higher education institutions, of academic positions in university education obtained in accredited university institutions abroad.

The procedure implements OMENCS no. 5921/2016 for the approval of the Methodology regarding the automatic recognition, by higher education institutions and doctoral studies organizing institutions in Romania, of the status of PhD supervisor obtained in accredited higher education institutions from abroad.

The procedure implements OMENCS no. 5923/2016 for the approval of the methodology regarding the recognition of the doctoral diploma and the title of doctor in sciences or in a professional field, obtained abroad.

​This Procedure establishes the method of obtaining the certificate of authenticity for study documents issued by UAUIM. The provisions of this procedure apply to Romanian citizens, citizens of member states of the European Union, the European Economic Area, the Swiss Confederation, as well as citizens of third countries. This procedure was developed in accordance with the provisions of the National Education Law no. 1/2011, with subsequent amendments and completions, and of Directive 2005/36/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 7 September 2005 on the recognition of professional qualifications, as well as with the provisions of Order no. 4156/2020 for the approval of the Framework Regulation on the regime of study documents and university documents in the higher education system. The certificate of authenticity for study documents, drafted in Romanian, is issued by UAUIM, at the graduates’ request, for the certification of study documents by the Ministry of Education - CNRED for going abroad. For certificates that substitute the bachelor's diploma, presenting a certificate of authenticity is not required.​
