Procedure for organizing visit-lessons for groups of pupils or students*

The visit-lessons for groups of schoolchildren or students are organized on the occasion of significant historical events from the glorious past of the Romanian Army. These contribute to increasing the presence of the Romanian National Military Archives in the public space, presenting the main responsibilities of the institution and the possibilities for studying the military archival heritage.
Interested educational institutions will submit, by email or post, a request addressed to the institution's management at least 30 days in advance. After its approval, the steps for carrying out the activity are established by mutual agreement.

Procedure for carrying out internships in the field of military archiving*

The Romanian National Military Archives are the authority in the field of archival science and military history that scientifically capitalize on the documentary heritage held by the Ministry of National Defense.
Internships in the field of military archival science can only be carried out with the prior signing of a Framework Agreement regarding the conduct of the internship according to the provisions of the Order of the Minister of Education, Research and Youth No. 3955 of 09.05.2008, between higher education institutions and the Romanian National Military Archives. Based on this, students can submit a request to carry out specialized practice at the Romanian National Military Archives. After the internship request is approved by the management of the unit, the period and conditions for carrying it out are established.

Procedure for facilitating access to archival documents containing information on fulfilling military obligations and obtaining documents certifying the claimed status for the period of interest*

In order to facilitate access to archive documents containing information regarding the fulfillment of military obligations and the issuance of certificates attesting the military situation, applicants must submit a request, by mail or e-mail, for the issuance of the document. If, after research, it is found that the requested document exists, the amount of 90 lei/document will be paid to the Treasury, in the account of the issuing institution.

Procedure regarding the use of the photo library's image fund*

The Romanian National Military Archives are the authority in the field of archival science and military history that scientifically valorizes the documentary heritage held by the Ministry of National Defense.
For the study of the archival heritage regarding the history of the Romanian Army, interested researchers can access the documents held at the location in Bucharest, Drumul Taberei Street, no. 7H, sector 6, and at the location in Pitești, Aleea Poarta Eroilor no. 4, Pitești, Argeș County, through the study rooms. Interested persons will submit, by email or by post, a request for approval of the study, on a research topic. After the approval of the study request by the management of the unit, the researcher can present themselves in the study room, based on prior scheduling.
The first stage consists in providing the researcher with the inventory tools (archive inventories), according to the topic communicated in the study request. After selecting the documents of interest for the researcher, these will be analyzed in accordance with the provisions of National Archives Law no. 16/1996, republished 2014, and with the provisions of the legislation in force regarding the protection of classified information.
At the end of the evaluation procedure, the researcher will be informed of the date of presentation in the study room for the provision of the requested materials.
Researchers can request, for a fee, copies of the studied documents, according to the ​List of services provided by the Romanian National Military Archives for individuals and legal entities and their related fees, posted at: https://amnr.defense.ro/pages/servicii.

For the study of the archival heritage concerning the history of the Romanian Army, interested researchers can access the documents in storage, on microfilm, at the headquarters in Bucharest, Drumul Taberei Street, no. 7H, sector 6, and in paper format, at the headquarters in Pitești, Aleea Poarta Eroilor no. 4, Pitești, Argeș County, through the reading rooms.
Interested persons will submit, by email or by post, a request for approval of study, on a research topic. After approval by the unit management of the study request, they may present themselves in the reading room, based on prior scheduling.

The Romanian National Military Archives are the authority in the field of archival science and military history that scientifically values the documentary heritage held by the Ministry of National Defense.
For consulting the old book collection and representative works in the field of military historiography, interested researchers can access the documents held at the headquarters in Bucharest, Drumul Taberei Street, no. 7H, sector 6, through the study hall.
Interested persons will submit, by email or by post, a request for approval of their study, on a research topic. After the request is approved by the unit’s management, the applicant can come to the study hall, based on prior scheduling.
The first stage consists of making available to the researcher the inventory tools (archive inventories) according to the topic communicated in the study request. After selecting the documents of interest for the researcher (microfilm rolls/files), these will be analyzed in accordance with the provisions of the National Archives Law no. 16/1996, republished 2014, and the provisions of the current legislation regarding the protection of classified information.
