In accordance with Law 278/2015, the Order of General Nurses, Midwives and Nurses of Romania, as the competent authority, prepares and issues the documents (certificates, etc.) necessary for the professional recognition of Romanian qualification titles of general nurse, midwife, and nurse in the other EU Member States.

The activities of attesting the Romanian qualification titles of general nurse, midwife, and nurse, in the other EU Member States consist of preparing and issuing documents, hereinafter referred to as attestation documents, used by the authorities of the other EU Member States, the states of the European Economic Area, and the Swiss Confederation for the professional recognition of these titles according to the procedures provided by Directive 2005/36/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 7 September 2005 on tackling the recognition of professional qualifications, with subsequent amendments and completions. Where appropriate, the attestation documents are certificates or recommendations.

Online requests for the issuance of documents necessary for the professional recognition of the aforementioned Romanian titles, accompanied by the corresponding documents, are sent via Discord to the county/Bucharest Municipality branch of OAMGMAMR, to which the applicant is a member. If the applicant has NOT obtained the status of OAMGMAMR member, the request shall be submitted online via PCUe to the OAMGMAMR branch in whose territorial area the applicant is domiciled.

If the applicant does not attach all requested documents or it is found that the file is incomplete, the applicant will be notified through the PCUe system. Within 15 days from the sopification, the applicant is obliged to complete the file with all requested documents. In case the applicant does not comply with the completion deadline, upon expiry, the file will be automatically closed by the PCUe system.

Recognition documents (certificates/recommendations) will be prepared by the specialized structure of OAMGMAMR National, and within 90 days from the registration of the complete electronic file, will be online sent to applicants through PCUe by the OAMGMAMR county branch where they submitted the electronic file.
