In accordance with Law 278/2015, the Order of Nurses, Midwives and Medical Assistants of Romania, as a competent authority, draws up and issues the documents (certificates, etc.) necessary for the recognition for professional purposes of the Romanian qualification titles of nurse, midwife, and medical assistant, in other EU Member States.

The activities of certifying the Romanian qualification titles of nurse, midwife, and medical assistant in other EU Member States consist of preparing and issuing documents, hereinafter referred to as certification documents, used by the authorities of the other EU member states, the states of the European Economic Area and the Swiss Confederation, in order to recognize these professional titles according to the procedures provided by Directive 2005/36/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 7 September 2005 on the recognition of professional qualifications, with subsequent amendments and completions.Where appropriate, the certification documents are certificates or recommendations.

Online applications for issuing the documents necessary for the recognition for professional purposes of the aforementioned Romanian titles, accompanied by the relevant documents, are submitted via PCUe to the county branch/the Bucharest Municipality branch of OAMGMAMR to which the applicant is a member. If the applicant has NOT become a member of OAMGMAMR, the application is submitted online via PCUe to the OAMGMAMR branch in whose territorial area the applicant resides.

If the applicant does not attach all the required documents or it is found that the file is incomplete, the applicant will be notified through the PCUe system. Within 15 days from the notification, the applicant is required to complete the file with all the requested documents. If the applicant does not comply with the deadline for completion, upon its expiry, the file will be automatically closed by the PCUe system.

The recognition documents (certificates/recommendations) will be prepared at the specialized structure level of the OAMGMAMR National, and within 90 days from espisodical complete electronic file registration, will be sent online to the applicants via PCUe by the county branch of OAMGMAMR where they submitted the electronic file.
