Regarding the Current Professional Certificate, we wish to make the following clarifications:

In accordance with the provisions of Pharmacy Law no. 266/2008 in the consolidated form as published in Official Gazette no. 448/30.06.2009 Part I, as well as the Implementation Rules published in Official Gazette no. 538/03.07.2009 Part I, pharmacists who will hold the position of chief pharmacist in a pharmaceutical unit (in cases of establishment of new pharmaceutical units, as well as changes of chief pharmacist - for those who will take over the position), will address the county colleges to obtain the Current Professional Certificate.

Also, this document is necessary for pharmacists who wish to practice their profession outside the country's borders.

The methodology for preparation and issuance of the Current Professional Certificate was established by National Council Decision of C.F.R. no. 1/2007, decision published in the Official Gazette of Romania Part I no. 324 of 15.05.2007.

Below we present the main provisions of Decision no. 1/2007, as follows:
- The Current Professional Certificate will be prepared by the College of Pharmacists of Romania and issued by the territorial college where the applicant is registered;
- The validity of the Current Professional Certificate is 3 months from the date of issuance;
- Within a maximum of three days from receipt of the request for issuance of the Current Professional Certificate, the territorial college will send to the College of Pharmacists of Romania the standard application form for preparation and issuance of the document;
- Within a maximum of 30 days from receipt of the application, C.F.R. will prepare the certificate and forward it to the territorial college;
- The Current Professional Certificate will be issued by the College of Pharmacists of Romania, which will create it and send it to the territorial college;
- The territorial college will prepare a Register of records – with identification data of the Current Professional Certificates issued to pharmacists in the respective county – and will deliver them to the applicants with signature of receipt.

The fee for issuance of the Current Professional Certificate, in the amount of 100 lei, will be paid into the account of the territorial College RO45BRDE410SV26208314100.

To obtain the Current Professional Certificate, the pharmacist will submit to the territorial college a file which will include the documents attached below.
