Families and single persons whose incomes are below the monthly level of the guaranteed minimum income, established by emergency ordinance, are entitled to social assistance.
The amount of social assistance is established as the difference between the level of the guaranteed minimum income and the net monthly income of the family or single person.
The monthly amount of the Guaranteed Minimum Income (GMI) is established in relation to the Social Reference Indicator (SRI), whose value is set by law at 598.019 LEI.
