Through this procedure, only within the Institute of Business Administration in the municipality of Bucharest, the teaching positions in higher education obtained in accredited institutions abroad by Romanian citizens, citizens of the member states of the European Union and the Swiss Confederation and from third countries are automatically recognized, at:
a. accredited higher education institutions from member states of the European Union, the European Economic Area and from the Swiss Confederation;
b. prestigious universities from other states provided in the List of prestigious universities from other states, approved by order of the minister of national education no. 5462/2018 and periodically updated;
c. other accredited higher education institutions from abroad than those mentioned, only on the basis of an international mutual recognition agreement, concluded at intergovernmental or inter-university level.
Only in the case of temporary exercise, the provisions of Law no. 200/2004 and art. 296 from LEN no. 1/2011 shall be applied directly. Reserved, vacant or temporarily vacant teaching positions are covered with priority by the tenured teaching staff of the institution or by the associated teaching staff.
The occupation of a teaching position in the Romanian higher education system is carried out according to the legal norms in force.

The status of university teaching staff can be found at position no. A8 in Annex no. 2 of Law no. 200/2004 regarding the recognition of diplomas and professional qualifications for regulated professions in Romania, with subsequent amendments and additions.*
