LIMITS: The recognition by ULBS of academic teaching positions obtained in accredited higher education institutions abroad has legal effects only within ULBS and is carried out for the purpose of:

- participating in a competition for occupying a vacant teaching position within ULBS
- participating in competition committees for occupying teaching and research positions within ULBS
- participating in committees for the evaluation of doctoral theses;
- participating as a "visiting professor" in various scientific and/or teaching activities within ULBS.
- complying with the provisions of the legislation in force and the decisions of the ULBS Senate.

Challenging the decision of the ULBS Rector not to issue the recognition certificate must be submitted at the ULBS Registry or on the PCUe platform within 15 working days from the notification of the applicant, through a motivated request (attached model). The appeals are analyzed and resolved by an appeals resolution commission appointed by the Rector's decision, which will reevaluate the file and propose a solution within 5 working days from registration.

The refusal of ULBS to issue the recognition decision can be contested under the conditions of Law no.554/2004 on administrative litigation.
